According to statistics, in 2011 every 4th person in the USA has at least one tattoo. In a rating ‘top 100 sexiest women alive’ 38 have at least one permanent tattoo and 3 have temporary. Nowadays you can even buy Barbie with tattoos if you really want to.

tattooed, i.e. all in color, including Sponge Bob :S Marc also uses quite an amount of tattooed models in his shows. There are thousands of models with tattoos and many of them are more than famous. You should have heard about Carolyn Murphy, Isabeli Fontana, Gisele Bundchen, Alessandra Ambrosio, Freja Beha, Jessica Stam, Lily Cole and Erin Wasson. All of the them are super famous top models with one and more tattoos.
Talking about models with tattoos here is a list of my favorite models with tattoos.
No 1 Isabeli Fontana. I remember her and her name since I was 12. She was the most beautiful to me on the entire Fashion TV. I was damn surprised to find out that she has 4 tattoos, and already 1 removed one, in her inner lip. She tattooed a name of her 1st husband and had it removed when they divorced. Yes, never be so stupid to tattoo men’s name on your body! Instead she tattooed her sons names.
Freja Beha is my second fav. Freja has an incredible individuality and I find her very attractive, despite the fact, that she has a body of a 15old boy :S Freja has 16 tattoos, most of the are little ones. Freja is now a face of HUGO SS12 Campaign. To my surprise you can see 0 tattoos on a campaign picture, since when tattoos do not go in line with HUGO philosophy??? (I guess they do not to mix it with Boss Orange, as Boss Orange models are always tattooed). He “Redemption” and “Serendipity is me” are one of the prettiest I have ever seen.
No 3 Erin Wasson. Talking about Boss Orange, Erin was a Campaign face for Boss Orange SS11.
Putting models aside, there are many Labels who use tattoos as a part of their campaign image and brand philosophy. Like Rodarte in SS 10, Chanel SS10,Vivienne Westwood SS12 and Boss Orange.

And the last one to mention, Muse of Lady Gaga, Mugler and was fitured in Japanese Vogue and GQ UK.
